My city or county already has a ban the box policy. Will the Fair Chance Act replace that policy?

Several cities and counties in California have spearheaded fair hiring initiatives (see Appendix F on PG. 626, Appendix G on PG. 627, and Appendix H on PG. 630). If you live in a city or county with a local ordinance that provides additional legal protections for job applicants with conviction histories, these additional rights are still in effect. For instance, the Los Angeles City ordinance requires that employers make a written record of their individualized assessment about an applicant’s conviction history in writing.[1869]
