I am a noncitizen. What types of ID can I get?

Your ability to get ID varies greatly depending on your immigration status and the type of document. While noncitizens cannot get items such as a U.S. Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate, or U.S. Passport, you may be able to get other key documents.
