My tribe requires registration. When do I have to register?

When you are required to register generally depends on whether you were incarcerated for your registerable offense.

    If you are currently incarcerated, you are typically required to register before your release from imprisonment.
    If you are not incarcerated, you are typically required to register within three business days of sentencing for the registration offense.[3383]
    Remember that registration required by California law is done separately. See Section [173] for more information.
