What could the court do if it finds that I violated my federal probation or supervised release?

FOR A FEDERAL PROBATION VIOLATION: If the judge finds that you violated a condition of Federal Probation, it may:

    Continue you on federal probation, with or without lengthening your term, or changing/increasing the conditions you must follow; OR
    Revoke your federal probation and resentence you.[989]

FOR A SUPERVISED RELEASE VIOLATION: If the judge finds that you violated a condition of Supervised Release, it may:

    Continue you on supervised release, with or without lengthening the term, or changing/ increasing the conditions you must follow; OR
    Revoke your Supervised Release and send you back to prison.[990] For certain violations, the court is required to do this by law (it’s mandatory).[991]
